I'm an experienced performer available for wedding ceremonies and receptions and
other special occasions! I have a wide repertoire, including the Bach suites, romantic
classical pieces, folk melodies, jazz standards, and popular tunes, and will work with
you to find the perfect pieces. I am also available to write a new piece or pieces just for
the occasion in any style desired or arrange your favorite music for myself and/or for any
instrument or ensemble you like. So if you'd like to hear your favorite ballad played as
duet by your ten year old niece on violin and seventy year old grandpa on trumpet, I can
help make it happen!
One of the most overlooked aspects of wedding ceremony music is the importance of
tailoring the chosen song to the right length, particularly if it is music that will be familiar
to your guests. Whether your processional is 10 feet long or half a mile, as a composer
and arranger, I have developed an intuitive understanding of the structure and pacing
inherent in any piece of music. Not only will I have either trimmed or extended your
chosen pieces ahead of time to suit your estimated processional length, but I also have
the improvisation skills to seamlessly handle, on the spot, any unanticipated change in
duration. So even if your bridesmaids and groomsmen walk in more quickly than
expected or your flower girl takes the time to scatter every petal individually, there is no
need to worry -- your music will accompany them every step of the way.
