Private Studio Events

We love to get our studio community together whenever possible! Informal parties with playgroups, potlucks, and seasonal activities typically center around holidays such as Valentine's Day, Pi Day, St. Patrick's Day, April Fool's Day, May Day, Talk Like a Pirate Day, Halloween, and/or Thanksgiving. Each year is different, but we aim for at least three of such gatherings each year.

Public Studio Events

These studio events are open to the public, free of charge, with donations to our scholarship fund gratefully accepted.

Composing Strings & Keys Concert

Join us for our annual, studio-wide concert! Always held the first Sunday in May at 3pm. This concert is fun, informal, and open to all ages! Students play solos and small ensembles, and all collaborate on a big orchestral grand finale together at the end. The backyard setting makes for a lovely, easy-going concert experience.

Summer Class Recital & Open Mic

Open to all students and their friends and family! Held on a Saturday morning in late August (nine days before Labor Day). We kick off with a lively recital from our Uncaged Musicians classes, then open the floor up for anyone who wants to perform! Backyard venue -- kids welcome to run around freely throughout the open mic portion. This is a great chance to share any of the other music, dance, and drama activities students may be up to. Anything appropriate for an all-ages audience is welcome, so bring on the bagpipes, knock-knock jokes, and circus acts!

Winter Solstice Caroling

Take a little walk around the neighborhood with us on a December afternoon as close to Winter Solstice as possible. Family and friends welcome, songs secular, lyric sheets provided, and children encouraged to sing front and center!
